It’s April, you know what that means? It’s National Poetry month. A time where the poets, poet, a little more than before. Once a year you see the flurry of poets celebrating their talents across the world and wildly writing madness to enjoy all that is National Poetry Month.
It is also the perfect excuse to curl up under a nice fire by your bed in some comfy clothes and become entranced in poetry. This month is for everyone. You can be a professional poet, or someone enjoying other’s words. This month is for you.
There’s something going on at all times. Spoekn word open mics, short poems, long poems, poets on podcasts, old poets, young poets, new poets. Poetry is everywhere this month. On top of that, April brings showers, who doesn’t enjoy a refreshing read while the rain taps gently on a window? Or sitting on a nice patio while the droplets clash with the wood and leaves?
Cozy soaces are the genisis of creativity, they also ignite the flames of connectivity. This month is the perfect month to sit down, breathe, and discover the beauty of poetry
